Mental Health Counseling

Whatever the challenge, there is support here for you.
You deserve help.
You deserve fulfillment.
And it’s often not as far away as you think.

As a licensed mental healthcare provider, I take my work very seriously and find it an honor when someone chooses to reach out for help with mental health challenges. We ALL, from time to time, have our own mental health challenges. Sometimes those are chronic and ongoing and require longer term support. Sometimes those are shorter term, after we struggle to adjust to something new. In all cases, there is help available.

I utilize an integrated approach to therapy, which means I incorporate different aspects of evidence based practices including Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and somatic therapies. What do all of those words mean? They mean that I take training and learning seriously, and I also don’t believe in a one size fits all approach. I enjoy the freedom to utilize interventions that I think are appropriate for the individual in front of me, and we work together to determine the best approach for YOU.

As a trained Yoga instructor, you can often find me incorporating aspects of Yoga and mindfulness into our work to help increase the mind body connection which is so relevant to mental health. If you’ve ever experienced anxiety, you’ll notice that symptoms and challenges are rarely just in your head. Often, they are in your body as well. If we have a somatic(body) problem, I’m a believer in trying to finding a somatic solution!

My goal as a therapist is to help you discover what has been holding you back or limiting you from living your life in the way that you want, and providing you the tools and education in order to achieve that goal. The power of therapy is never in the therapist- it is always in YOU, and how you show up for yourself.

I currently work with clients of all backgrounds, ages, religions, and lifestyles. My main focus is on working with adolescents and adults, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and working with couples. I am well versed in treating anxiety, depression, and traumatic events, and support clients through a variety of other mental health challenges.

Not sure if I’m the right therapist for you? Let’s schedule a call to find out. If I’m not, I have a network of colleagues that I work with, and someone will be. Whether with me or someone else, there is help here.
